Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As Director, Product Management, Registry at Babylist, you will own the strategy, vision, KPIs, and quality bar for the Registry experience — the core acquisition and commercial engine powering Babylist’s ecosystem for growing families. You will lead a team of 3–4 Product Managers as a player-coach, partnering across the organization to drive impact in a remote-first, AI-native environment.
  • • Day to day, you will shape company strategy by owning Registry end-to-end — including acquisition, registry build, gift giver conversion across 1P and 3P channels, and the core Babylist Shop funnel — while setting and holding the quality bar, making hard tradeoffs between business goals and customer trust, and serving as a model for AI-first product management by using AI-native workflows, building prototypes, and influencing team practices.
  • • You will join Babylist, the leading registry, e-commerce, and content platform for growing families, serving over 9 million annual shoppers and generating over $1 billion in annual GMV. The company is remote-first with teams across the U.S. and Canada, values AI as an expectation in daily work, and brings together team members twice a year to build relationships behind the work.
  • • In this role, you will learn to scale impact at a generational consumer brand, develop expertise in AI-native product development, coach and develop high-performing PMs, influence company-wide operating models and craft standards, and build a legacy of customer-obsessed, commercially rigorous product leadership that compounds over the next decade.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Demonstrated company-level product leadership with experience owning complex consumer products end-to-end, including Principal/Director, Sr. Director PM or VP roles at meaningful scale
  • • Strategic foresight to articulate Registry’s vision for 6, 12, and 24 months and define the path to get there, with strong, opinionated views and the ability to update them based on evidence
  • • Deep customer expertise grounded in qualitative and quantitative evidence, with ability to understand and co-create with users, solve root pain, and create user segmentation clarity
  • • Commercial ownership including fluency in P&Ls, unit economics modeling, and understanding how Registry monetizes through 1P and 3P channels, enabling partnership with finance and data without translation
  • • Outcome ownership through hypothesis-driven experimentation, measurement design from day one, and clean persist/pivot/stop decisions based on evidence, not momentum
  • • People leadership experience hiring, coaching, and developing PMs to build teams operating above company average, especially during transitions

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary with equity and bonus opportunities (USD $252,735–$303,282 or CAD $343,800–$429,800 starting range)
  • • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • • Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts
  • • Generous paid parental leave and PTO
  • • Remote work stipend to set up your office
  • • Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning
