📋 Description
- • Serve as the primary operational partner for the Next Wave Program Team, ensuring timely and precise advancement of pipeline programs from translation to clinical proof-of-concept.
- • Partner directly with the Program Leader to drive cross-functional execution across R&D, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial functions.
- • Provide operational leadership for multiple development programs at varying stages, maintaining alignment on timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- • Establish and maintain program-level governance structures, including meeting cadences, decision logs, and escalation pathways to ensure accountability and transparency.
- • Develop and manage program roadmaps, risk registers, and key performance indicators to track progress and proactively identify bottlenecks or deviations.
- • Coordinate cross-functional team meetings, prepare executive summaries, and communicate program status to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- • Ensure seamless integration of new pipeline initiatives into the broader organizational workflow, aligning with Scholar Rock’s proprietary platform and anti-myostatin therapeutic focus.
- • Act as a strategic thought-partner to the Program Leader, contributing to prioritization decisions, resource planning, and portfolio strategy for next-wave programs.
- • Drive consistency in program management practices across the Next Wave team, promoting standardization of processes while adapting to the unique needs of rare disease development.
- • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs to align trial design, patient recruitment strategies, and regulatory submission timelines.
- • Monitor external scientific and competitive landscape developments to inform program strategy and identify opportunities for innovation in neuromuscular disease treatment.
- • Maintain rigorous documentation of program decisions, changes, and outcomes in alignment with company compliance and quality standards.
- • Support the VP, Head of Program Leadership & Management in scaling program management capabilities as the pipeline expands.
- • Represent the Next Wave team in internal and external forums, ensuring clear, accurate, and compelling communication of program progress and scientific rationale.
- • Foster a culture of urgency, precision, and collaboration within the program team and across functional departments.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in program management within biopharmaceutical R&D, specifically in oncology, neurology, or rare disease therapeutic areas
- • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent development programs from early translation through clinical proof-of-concept
- • Strong track record of cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations involving clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial teams
- • Expertise in developing and managing program roadmaps, risk registers, and governance structures
- • Experience working with proprietary biologic platforms or monoclonal antibody development
- • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with ability to distill complex scientific and operational data for senior leadership
