📋 Description
- • Provide direct clinical nursing support to patients undergoing medication abortion via telehealth platforms, ensuring safe, discreet, and judgment-free care.
- • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in real-time, delivering timely triage, clinical assessment, and individualized nursing guidance via text and digital communication channels.
- • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine eligibility for medication abortion and other reproductive health services, adhering to evidence-based clinical protocols.
- • Educate patients on medication abortion procedures, expected side effects, aftercare instructions, and follow-up requirements with clarity and cultural sensitivity.
- • Maintain accurate, compliant, and confidential electronic health records for all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA and state-specific telehealth regulations.
- • Collaborate with board-certified physicians and advanced practice clinicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care within the clinical team.
- • Deliver trauma-informed care to patients during emotionally vulnerable moments, prioritizing empathy, autonomy, and reproductive justice principles.
- • Provide culturally responsive care to diverse patient populations, with a specific focus on serving Spanish-speaking patients in a bilingual capacity.
- • Adhere strictly to clinical workflows and operational procedures designed to ensure patient safety, privacy, and continuity of care across all digital touchpoints.
- • Work scheduled 10-hour shifts (12pm–10pm ET / 9am–7pm PT) on either Wednesday–Saturday or Sunday–Monday, depending on hire assignment.
- • Receive weekend differential pay for all shifts occurring on weekends as part of compensation structure.
- • Participate in ongoing clinical training and quality assurance initiatives to maintain competency in telehealth best practices and evolving reproductive health standards.
- • Serve as a primary point of clinical contact for patients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their care journey.
- • Uphold organizational values of equity, dignity, and access by actively contributing to a patient-centered, nonjudgmental care environment.
- • Maintain active, unencumbered RN licensure in one or more of the following states: CA, CO, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, OR, WA.
- • Demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and ensure equitable access to care.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in CA, CO, HI, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NM, NY, OR, or WA
- • Fluency in both English and Spanish (bilingual requirement)
- • Experience providing clinical care in a telehealth or virtual health setting
