- • The Director, Retail Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth across Coca-Cola’s beverage portfolio, encompassing multiple brands and categories, both in-store and online, with a focus on accelerating beverage category growth by developing and executing customer-centric plans that align with Giant Eagle, Bottler, and Coca-Cola Company objectives.
- • Day to day, the role involves developing customized business plans for Giant Eagle and Bottlers, collaborating on strategic price/package plans, ensuring data accuracy in systems, resolving billing discrepancies, partnering with Revenue Growth Management for post-promotional analysis, working with Finance on forecast accuracy, developing and implementing marketing programs across in-store and omnichannel platforms, communicating weekly with Bottlers on execution, selling-in promotional strategies for new launches, and leveraging Nielsen and Symphony EYC data for informed decision-making.
- • The role sits within The Coca-Cola Company’s commercial organization, partnering closely with Giant Eagle retail accounts and bottling partners to deliver mutual growth, requiring strategic vision, collaborative execution, and a results-driven approach to meet revenue, profit, and volume targets.
- • The individual will develop expertise in trade fund management, revenue growth management, complex selling in CPG, stakeholder management across bottler and retail systems, and leadership behaviors including driving innovation, acting like an owner, inspiring others, and fostering growth mindset — positioning them for broader commercial leadership within the Coca-Cola system.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry; beverage experience preferred
- • Proven track record of progressive responsibility in account management within large consumer goods organizations
- • Expertise in complex selling, with ability to develop and sell customer-specific promotional programs and initiatives
- • Strong knowledge of bottler environments, systems, and business development planning
- • Proficiency in trade fund management and business analytics
- • Familiarity with Nielsen and Symphony EYC data for market and customer insights
- • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholder needs across multiple business systems
🏖️ Benefits
- • Base pay range of $141,000 - $165,200
- • Annual incentive reference value of 30% of base pay
- • Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits offered
- • Opportunity to work remotely (based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH)
- • Travel required: 26% - 50%
