Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead a world-class Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization of 25+ engineers across Cloud Infrastructure, Database & Storage, Network Infrastructure, Observability Tooling, and the Doctolib Operations Center (DOC).
- • Own the infrastructure strategy and roadmap for cloud, database, network, and observability, aligning delivery with company OKRs.
- • Direct the Doctolib Operations Center by establishing incident response standards, driving reduction in mean time to resolution (MTTR), and embedding a blameless post-mortem culture across all engineering teams.
- • Architect and execute the multi-cloud strategy to reduce vendor lock-in, lower migration costs, and enable international expansion into new European markets.
- • Own network infrastructure at scale, including load balancing, CDN/WAF, VPCs, peering, and zero-trust networking across a high-traffic, multi-country healthcare platform.
- • Drive observability as a product by building platforms that provide 700+ engineers with genuine visibility into system health through metrics, logs, traces, and alerting systems.
- • Serve as a senior technical leader and influential voice within the Platform Engineering organization and broader Tech leadership team.
- • Translate reliability, cost efficiency, and engineering velocity into measurable business outcomes, treating them as core performance indicators.
- • Build and nurture a high-performing, people-first engineering culture focused on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- • Shape the long-term reliability culture at Doctolib, ensuring infrastructure resilience directly supports patient outcomes in a healthcare environment where system downtime delays diagnoses and care.
- • Lead the transition from reactive operations to proactive, scalable SRE practices that enable rapid innovation across AI health companions, clinical workflow automation, and European-scale product launches.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years leading managers and running infrastructure or SRE organizations at scale
- • Track record of transitioning SRE practices from reactive to proactive, with measurable reductions in incidents and MTTR
- • Strong multi-cloud and network infrastructure experience: load balancing, CDN/WAF, VPCs, peering at high-traffic scale
- • Deep database operations background: large-scale transactional systems (PostgreSQL, Aurora), streaming/CDC (Kafka), data layer FinOps
- • Experience building observability platforms with metrics, logs, traces, and alerting for large engineering teams
- • Sharp process thinking: SLOs, error budgets, incident management, blameless post-mortems
🏖️ Benefits

- • 28 vacation days + 1 additional day for each full calendar year of employment (up to a maximum of 30 days)

- • Company health insurance with supplementary benefits through Allianz
- • Company pension scheme (bAV) through Allianz with a 40% employer subsidy (15% during probation)
