- • As the Director of Solutions Consulting at New Relic, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants across the Australia region, directly impacting the company’s ability to drive technical wins in complex enterprise sales cycles and expand market share in observability solutions.
- • You will partner closely with Sales Leadership (RVP/VP), Product, and Customer Success to align technical resources with the highest-impact opportunities, ensuring your team removes technical friction and demonstrates clear differentiation against competitors to hit quarterly and annual revenue targets for new logos and enterprise expansions.
- • Day to day, you will lead and mentor a team of Solutions Consultants, providing coaching on discovery workshops, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and value-realization assets while standardizing methodologies to ensure consistent execution and technical excellence across all customer engagements.
- • You will act as a player-coach in high-stakes enterprise deals, engaging directly with C-Suite stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Engineering) to serve as a trusted advisor, translating technical capabilities into business value and influencing executive decision-making.
- • You will synthesize field intelligence from customer interactions, competitive landscapes, and market trends into actionable insights for Product Management and Marketing teams to shape the product roadmap, refine messaging, and strengthen New Relic’s competitive positioning in the observability space.
- • You will foster a culture of continuous learning and technical mastery within your team, ensuring deep expertise in observability domains (APM, Logging, Infrastructure), cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern architectures (Microservices, Serverless, Kubernetes) while promoting adoption of open standards like OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.

🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years of experience in Pre-Sales or Solutions Consulting, with at least 5–8 years in a leadership or management role overseeing technical sales teams.
- • Deep technical domain expertise in the Observability landscape (APM, Logging, Infrastructure) and Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), including hands-on familiarity with modern software architectures such as Microservices, Serverless, and Kubernetes.
- • Mastery of value-based selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Command of the Message) and proven ability to drive complex enterprise sales cycles through technical advocacy and executive-level engagement.
