📋 Description
- • As the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Americas, you will be a pivotal strategic advisor and execution partner, acting as a force multiplier for the SVP, GM of the Americas. Your primary mission will be to translate global strategies and initiatives into tangible regional success, ensuring seamless "last mile" delivery and widespread adoption across the Americas.
- • You will be instrumental in operationalizing global strategies within the region. This involves developing and executing tailored rollout plans that respect regional market nuances while remaining firmly aligned with the overarching global strategy. Your role is to ensure that global priorities are not just communicated but are actively embraced and implemented effectively across the Americas.
- • A core aspect of your responsibility will be to drive GM-level strategic initiatives. You will own and lead high-impact projects directly contributing to regional growth objectives. This requires acting as a strategic filter, ensuring all initiatives align with broader company objectives and proactively identifying and addressing any deviations.
- • You will be responsible for defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic programs, meticulously monitoring their progress, and providing data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership. This enables agile decision-making, allowing teams to pivot or accelerate efforts as needed to maximize impact.
- • Proactive risk management is crucial. You will identify potential roadblocks and challenges to program success and develop robust mitigation strategies to ensure initiatives stay on track.
- • A significant part of your role will involve leading change management efforts. You will design and implement comprehensive plans to ensure the smooth adoption of new processes, strategies, and technologies across the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization.
- • Fostering cross-functional alignment is paramount. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other internal teams, both locally and globally, to ensure cohesive execution of GTM initiatives and a unified approach to market engagement.
- • You will serve as a central communication hub, providing regular, clear, and concise updates to stakeholders and senior leadership regarding program status, progress, achievements, and any challenges encountered.
- • Beyond specific initiatives, you will cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance within the teams you influence. This involves empowering individuals, fostering collaboration, and driving a collective commitment to achieving ambitious goals.
- • This role demands a deep understanding of Go-To-Market (GTM) motions, including sales, partner ecosystems, and customer success strategies, particularly within a B2B SaaS or technology context. You will leverage this expertise to drive growth in a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
- • You will need to demonstrate a proven ability to transform high-level concepts into detailed, rigorous execution plans, clearly defining ownership, timelines, and deliverables.
- • A key competency will be your ability to influence stakeholders at VP and GM levels without direct reporting lines, leading cross-functional teams through collaboration and strategic alignment.
- • An analytical mindset is essential, enabling you to use data effectively to diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and measure the success of strategic programs. This data-driven approach will inform decision-making and optimize program outcomes.
- • You will embody Okta's core leadership competencies: building effective teams, demonstrating self-awareness (EQ), developing talent, driving results, and possessing a strategic mindset. These principles guide our actions and align with our company values of customer focus, empowering people, continuous innovation, integrity, and transparency.
- • The role is based in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; or Washington, DC, with potential for remote work (#LI-Remote).
