- • Crusoe is at the forefront of the AI revolution, building sustainable technology that accelerates the abundance of energy and intelligence. We are crafting the foundational engine that empowers a world where ambitious creation with AI is possible without compromising on scale, speed, or sustainability. Join a team that is setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure and drive meaningful innovation with a tangible impact.
- • As the Director, Workforce Housing & Data Center Workplace Operations, you will be instrumental in shaping the living and working environments for our growing global team. This strategic leadership role is responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of our workforce housing strategy and the operational excellence of our data center workplaces, encompassing both remote and non-remote locations.
- • You will be a key architect of Crusoe's expansion, designing innovative short-term, transitional, and long-term housing solutions where needed. This includes defining what constitutes sustainable and supportive communities in remote operational environments, ensuring our team members have safe, comfortable, and productive places to live and work.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to establishing a consistent, high-quality workplace experience across all our data center sites. This involves owning the overarching workplace operating model, ensuring safety, operational rigor, and a positive employee experience, while remaining adaptable to the unique needs of each location.
- • This role requires a highly strategic, self-directed individual who thrives in ambiguity, can expertly balance the need for speed with meticulous long-term planning, and possesses the ability to build scalable, repeatable models applicable across diverse site types.
- • You will collaborate closely with senior leadership across Workplace, People, and Finance departments, acting as a critical partner in defining and executing comprehensive housing and workplace programs.
- • **Key Responsibilities Include:**
- • **Workforce Housing Strategy & Execution:** Partner with the Global Director of Workplace to define and implement Crusoe's comprehensive workforce housing strategy. This involves evaluating and selecting appropriate solutions such as leasing agreements, strategic partnerships, and build-to-suit developments, always balancing critical factors like cost-effectiveness, speed of deployment, risk mitigation, and the overall employee experience.
- • **Community Development in Remote Environments:** Define and champion clear principles for what 'community' means in the context of remote data center operations. This includes identifying essential amenities, designing effective shared spaces, outlining necessary services, prioritizing safety considerations, and cultivating an exceptional overall employee experience.
- • **Data Center Workplace Operations:** Own and manage the operating model for all data center workplaces. Ensure a high standard of consistency, safety, and operational excellence is maintained across all locations, while also allowing for necessary site-specific adaptations and customizations.
- • **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead, manage, and mentor a team of dedicated Workplace Site Managers. These individuals are responsible for the day-to-day operational success and employee experience at our various data center locations.
- • **New Site Readiness & Expansion:** Oversee the workplace readiness efforts for new data center openings and significant expansions. This encompasses managing service activations, facilitating vendor onboarding, and ensuring seamless coordination with critical teams such as IT, Security, and Data Center Operations.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Foster strong partnerships with Data Center Operations, Safety, People, Legal, and Finance departments. Ensure all housing and workplace solutions are fully compliant with regulations, financially sound, and strategically aligned with current and future workforce requirements.
- • **Financial Management & Budgeting:** Take ownership of the Workforce Housing and Data Center Workplace Operations P&L. This includes developing annual budgets, managing forecasts, and implementing rigorous cost controls across all housing programs and data center site operations.
- • **Vendor & Partner Management:** Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with external partners, including housing providers, developers, property managers, and various service vendors. Establish clear performance expectations, service level agreements, and accountability frameworks.
- • **Governance & Risk Management:** Develop and implement robust governance structures, decision-making frameworks, and escalation paths to effectively manage risks, scope, and delivery timelines for all housing and workplace initiatives.
- • **Continuous Improvement:** Lead retrospectives and post-mortems following the launch of new programs or significant operational changes to drive continuous improvement and refine our strategies and processes.
- • **Strategic Planning:** Contribute to the long-term strategic planning for Crusoe's global footprint, ensuring that workforce housing and workplace operations are integral components of our growth strategy and support our mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence.
