📋 Description

• Lead the architecture and modernization of backend systems for Project Sparky, an AI-powered chat assistant for iOS and Android, focusing on real-time, concurrent, multi-user APIs and granular data repositories to support scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Drive technical strategy and governance across multiple product teams, standardizing enterprise platforms, deprecating legacy databases, and influencing stakeholders to align on business value through technical leadership.
• Mentor Principal and Staff engineers, foster collaboration and technical excellence, and architect optimized microservices and distributed systems ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance using Java, Go, or Python.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and compliance teams to deliver impactful business solutions, leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices to enable cloud-native transformations and improve deployment efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years’ experience in software engineering or related area
• Extensive experience in backend engineering with distributed systems and microservices
• Proven technical leadership across multiple teams or domains, including direct mentorship of senior engineers
• Expertise in backend languages (Java, Go, Python) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong DevOps knowledge and architectural vision for large-scale enterprise systems
