• • As a Distributed Systems Software Engineer, GovCloud - Senior/Lead at Salesforce, you will play a critical role in innovating and maintaining a large-scale distributed systems engineering platform that supports hundreds of features daily for tens of millions of users across industries, with a focus on serving U.S. federal, state, and local government customers through secure, reliable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes in multiple data centers; building and shipping production-grade software using modern engineering practices with AI integrated into your workflow; developing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform; writing microservices on Kubernetes, Docker, or Mesos; contributing to open source technologies like Spinnaker and Zookeeper; designing systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows; maintaining shared system context for reliable AI operation; critically evaluating code for correctness, quality, security, and performance; resolving complex technical issues; and participating in on-call rotations to ensure service availability.
