- • The District Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Goodyear’s retread manufacturing facilities across the western United States by addressing technically complex maintenance challenges and leading hands-on training initiatives.
- • This position is essential to maintaining production uptime, safety compliance, and equipment longevity, directly supporting Goodyear’s mission to deliver high-quality tire products through operational excellence in its manufacturing network.
- • Conduct training for associates on technically challenging maintenance items to ensure that all operators are proficient on non-routine maintenance responsibilities and best practices, including safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures.
- • Inspect all machinery on a regular basis to ensure complete operational readiness, verify that all safeguards are functional and in place, and confirm that equipment is in good repair through systematic preventive and predictive maintenance checks.
- • Repair, rebuild, and calibrate all production equipment as needed, utilizing advanced technical skills to restore machinery to optimal performance standards while minimizing downtime.
- • Act as a primary troubleshooting resource for all CTSC retread facilities, applying deep technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex process and equipment issues that impact manufacturing efficiency and output.
- • Safely perform maintenance tasks on schedule and within budget, clearly communicating expectations to key stakeholders including plant management, maintenance teams, and external vendors.
- • Manage installation activities by coordinating internal plant resources and external vendors to safely and effectively install new or upgraded plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.

- • In this role, the individual will develop advanced expertise in industrial maintenance systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment, becoming a recognized authority on complex machinery within Goodyear’s western operations.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 8 years of relevant hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field.
- • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in equipment maintenance, with proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex manufacturing machinery.
- • Extensive practical experience with electrical systems, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair of industrial-grade components.
- • General knowledge of PLCs, PCs, and automated equipment operation, including familiarity with control systems used in modern manufacturing environments.
- • Demonstrated experience in hands-on repair of production equipment, with a track record of successfully restoring machinery to full operational status.
- • Ability to direct work and train others effectively, including strong communication skills, motivational techniques, and consistent adherence to safety procedures during all training and maintenance activities.
- • Proven ability to multi-task, manage time efficiently, and self-direct work priorities to meet competing demands in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
- • Strong problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues and implement lasting solutions.
- • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Goodyear’s western U.S. facilities to provide on-site support as needed.
