- • As a District Manager for Respiratory at Viatris, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare access by leading a high-performing sales team across the expansive Great Plains region. This pivotal role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve and surpass annual sales and market share objectives for Viatris's vital respiratory products. You will be the driving force behind ensuring that corporate sales and marketing strategies are not only understood but also effectively implemented within your designated geographic area, which encompasses key markets in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- • Your primary focus will be on cultivating and nurturing robust, long-term relationships with key executives, influential decision-makers, and critical stakeholders within healthcare organizations. You will be expected to respond with agility and professionalism to customer needs, conduct thorough account reviews, and meticulously monitor product usage patterns to identify opportunities for growth or potential decreases in purchasing. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contract information will also be a key responsibility.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves leading, coaching, and developing a team of talented sales representatives. You will provide regular, constructive, and timely feedback, documenting performance discussions appropriately. Proactive identification of performance challenges and the development of targeted plans to address any performance gaps are crucial. You will collaborate closely with sales directors and HR to manage all disciplinary actions, up to and including terminations, ensuring a fair and effective performance management process.
- • You will be tasked with analyzing and evaluating the performance of your team, alongside detailed sales figures and territory data for your geography. This includes tracking and reinforcing key metrics of sales force effectiveness, such as reach and frequency of customer interactions, adherence to sales strategies, tactical implementation of plans, and the proper utilization of company resources, systems, and tools.
- • The recruitment and retention of top-tier talent will be a continuous priority, ensuring all sales positions within your district are filled with qualified individuals. You will employ tailored coaching styles to motivate each direct report, fostering high performance and instilling a strong sense of accountability. Your commitment to the professional development of your team members will be paramount, guiding them to maximize their potential and advance their careers.
- • Upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity is non-negotiable. You will ensure all Company business is conducted in strict compliance with all applicable Company policies and procedures, and you will hold your sales representatives to the same rigorous standards. Any observed or reported violations must be immediately escalated to management. Your actions will consistently reflect the Company's commitment to maintaining an excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.
- • Effective communication is vital. You will maintain candid communication with your supervisor and direct reports, fostering an open and transparent environment for your team. You will serve as a central point for compiling and disseminating "Best Practices" across the region, acting as a key liaison between the home office and the field to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- • You will possess the ability to assess organizational change management needs and apply appropriate tools and strategies to effectively manage the impact of change within your team, ensuring the successful implementation of new initiatives and strategies.
