📋 Description

• The Donor Procurement Coordinator plays a vital role in the Transplant Center at Cleveland Clinic Health System, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of organ procurement activities that directly support life-saving transplant procedures.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for organ offers from local, regional, and national procurement organizations, organizing procurement and dispatch teams, coordinating air or ground transportation of organs, and managing data entry and reporting for donor and transplant activities.
• The role is part of the Transplant Center-Chief Of Staff Division at Cleveland Clinic, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare innovation and patient care, where caregivers are committed to excellence and transforming the patient experience.
• In this position, the caregiver will develop expertise in organ procurement protocols, gain experience with OPTN/UNOS regulations, contribute to professional education programs, and support training of new residents and fellows in renal procurement and allocation processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field OR a degree/diploma from an accredited Nursing School, Respiratory Therapy Program, or Paramedic Program
• One year of experience as an organ procurement coordinator OR clinical experience in critical care or organ procurement/transplant
• Valid license and certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT)
