đź“‹ Description

  • • Crusoe Energy Systems is at the forefront of the AI revolution, pioneering sustainable technology solutions that accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We are building the infrastructure that empowers ambitious AI creation without compromising on scale, speed, or environmental responsibility. Join a dynamic team that is defining the future of responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure and make a tangible impact on a global scale.
  • • As an Electrical Field Engineer, you will serve as the critical technical liaison between our innovative design teams and the on-site construction partners responsible for bringing our data center campus projects to life. This role is integral to the construction phase, ensuring the successful and timely handover of facilities ready to power demanding AI workloads. Your expertise will be vital in overseeing the installation, quality assurance, testing, and commissioning of large-scale power distribution systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • • You will be deeply involved in the practical application of electrical engineering principles within a fast-paced construction environment. This includes hands-on support and oversight of the deployment of sophisticated electrical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will span from medium and low voltage switchgear, power transformers, and switchboards to intricate protection and control systems, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, and all electrical equipment housed within the data center.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves monitoring and ensuring the correct installation of advanced power backup and conditioning systems. This includes critical components such as medium voltage UPS, backup generators, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), all essential for maintaining the continuous and reliable operation required for AI applications.
  • • You will also play a key role in the management of substation protection systems, ensuring their integrity and compliance with design specifications. This requires a thorough understanding of power system protection and coordination.
  • • Tracking construction progress against ambitious project milestones is paramount. You will meticulously monitor adherence to the Basis of Design and engineering specifications, ensuring that project timelines are met without sacrificing the quality or integrity of the installation. Your proactive approach will help identify and mitigate potential delays or issues.
  • • A crucial part of your contribution will be the rapid resolution of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Field Engineering Directives (FEDs). You will act as the primary point of contact, facilitating clear and efficient communication between on-site contractors and the internal design team to address queries and implement necessary adjustments swiftly.
  • • You will be instrumental in capturing and documenting critical lessons learned during the construction process. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of field service bulletins that have design ramifications, ensuring that valuable insights are fed back into our design templates for future projects, driving continuous improvement and standardization.
  • • Collaboration with Crusoe’s Commissioning (Cx) team is essential. You will actively support all levels of commissioning activities (1-5), meticulously reviewing commissioning documents to ensure their technical accuracy and completeness, thereby guaranteeing that systems perform as intended.
  • • As an electrical safety champion, you will work in close partnership with Crusoe’s construction partners to foster a culture of safety on site. Your commitment to safety best practices will be paramount in all aspects of your work.
  • • This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. You will be empowered to make critical decisions on-site, ensuring that Crusoe’s data center infrastructure is built to the highest standards, ready to support the next generation of AI innovation.
