- • Own end-to-end execution of customer engagements with frontier AI labs and enterprise accounts, managing all phases from kickoff to delivery.
- • Serve as the primary customer advocate inside Bespoke Labs, translating technical objectives from customer ML and research teams into actionable requirements for internal engineering, research, and data operations teams.
- • Manage delivery rigor across multiple concurrent projects by tracking scope, timelines, SLAs, budgets, and quality metrics with precision and consistency.
- • Proactively surface project risks with proposed solutions to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery and maintain customer trust.
- • Identify and drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts by scoping follow-on projects and co-developing proposals with research and product leadership.
- • Partner with data operations and engineering teams to refine delivery playbooks, tooling, and internal processes that scale across customer engagements.
- • Build long-term customer partnerships through consistent responsiveness, high-quality execution, and deep understanding of technical workflows.
- • Act as the key point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication, alignment on deliverables, and satisfaction at every stage of engagement.
- • Maintain detailed documentation of project requirements, decisions, changes, and outcomes to ensure transparency and continuity across teams and clients.
- • Ensure all customer deliverables meet Bespoke Labs’ standards for technical accuracy, quality, and reliability, aligning internal outputs with external expectations.
- • Coordinate cross-functionally between research, engineering, and data operations to resolve bottlenecks and accelerate project timelines without compromising quality.
- • Represent Bespoke Labs externally as the face of the company, cultivating relationships that turn initial projects into sustained, high-value partnerships.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and technical landscapes in the fast-moving field of AI research and agent evaluation.
- • Maintain rigorous attention to detail in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and client feedback to prevent scope drift and misalignment.
- • Support the growth of Bespoke’s customer base by turning successful engagements into references, case studies, and repeat business.
- • Participate in client onboarding, kickoff meetings, review sessions, and retrospectives to ensure smooth transitions and continuous improvement.
- • Balance multiple high-stakes engagements with competing priorities while maintaining clarity, organization, and proactive communication.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years as Engagement Manager at a fast-growth data startup
- • 3–6 years of experience in customer engineering, forward-deployed engineering, project leadership at a high-growth company, or technical program management
- • Technical foundation via degree or working experience in CS, engineering, math, or another STEM field; ability to read technical specs and engage with ML researchers
- • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with precision and no dropped threads
- • B2B client-facing experience where execution and delivery were core to the role, not just account management
- • Action-oriented, scrappy disposition with a get-things-done attitude and strong written communication skills
