📋 Description

• As an Engineering Manager at Voize Inc., you will lead and empower a high-performing engineering team to build scalable, high-quality software that transforms healthcare documentation through AI, directly reducing nurses’ workload by an average of 39 minutes per day and improving care quality.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers; fostering an inclusive, high-trust culture; aligning technical strategy with product and company goals; ensuring reliable software delivery through best practices in testing and architecture; optimizing developer experience via CI/CD and tooling improvements; overseeing project execution to meet deadlines and business impact goals; and collaborating closely with ML, Product, Data, and cross-functional teams.
• Voize is a YCombinator-funded healthcare AI startup already deployed in over 600 senior care homes, growing 100% in the last 90 days, and saving customers over 3.5 million hours annually by eliminating paperwork so healthcare professionals can focus on people.
• In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by shaping engineering strategy, driving innovation in AI-powered healthcare solutions, mentoring talent, and making a measurable social impact while working in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment with significant autonomy and growth opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role with people management experience
• Strong hands-on mindset with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and developer workflow optimization
• Technical background in backend engineering (Kotlin and mobile engineering is a plus)
• Experience building reliable, high-quality production systems with strong engineering practices
• Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and delivery processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across teams and external partners
• Ability to drive technical strategy and align it with business and product goals
• Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing talent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience working with cross-functional departments including Product, Data, CS, and GTM
• Experience delivering complex integrations and partnership-driven projects (healthcare experience is a plus)
• Strong track record in hiring and building high-performing engineering teams
• Fluent in English (C1); German is a plus (C1)
