- • The ENLACES Research Director is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Dean of Sanford College of Education, responsible for leading research efforts for the federally funded Full-Service Community School (FSCS) implementation grant, ENLACES, which focuses on measuring and evaluating the efficacy of services for children, families, and teachers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing a research agenda, managing research projects with graduate students and research assistants, collecting and analyzing data, producing research briefs and white papers, engaging in research-practice partnerships with school districts, supporting grant writing and RFP development, and supervising a team of 3-5 reports including grant specialists and data analysts.
- • The role is part of National University System, a nonprofit institution serving over 45,000 students with more than 4,500 faculty and staff, committed to equity, innovation, and creating supportive academic environments for adult learners and working professionals across online and campus locations.
- • The position offers the opportunity to lead impactful research that influences policy and practice, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, secure additional grant funding, collaborate across colleges (including Cause Research Institute, JFK School of Psychology, and School of Health Professions), and develop expertise in mixed-methods research, program evaluation, and evidence-based practices in full-service community schools.
🎯 Requirements
- • Doctoral degree in education, psychology, research methodology, or a related field with a minimum of three years of related experience.
- • Five (5) years’ experience leading research projects (e.g., as project director or task lead).
- • Experience with data collection or evaluation in community- and school-based settings.
- • Experience with mixed-methods research designs.
- • Experience building and maintaining partner relationships with external stakeholders.
- • Experience with grant writing.
