- • As an Enterprise Account Executive for the Public Sector – Federal Government & Social Security Carriers at DeepL, you will serve as the Market Owner for one of the most strategically important and complex segments: federal ministries, subordinate authorities, social security institutions (including the Federal Employment Agency, German Pension Insurance, statutory accident insurance), Deutsche Bahn, Bundeswehr, and other federal-affiliated organizations. Your mission is to transform DeepL from a point-solution with low-barrier adoption into a holistically embedded, AI-driven language platform that supports central organizational, communicative, and transformational goals across Germany’s public sector. This role is critical to DeepL’s ambition to become the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology by establishing a sustainable, scalable presence in highly regulated, security- and data-sensitive environments where trust, compliance, and long-term value are paramount.
- • You will develop and execute a tailored Go-to-Market strategy for the Bund and Sozialversicherungsträger segment, analyzing governance structures, budget cycles, and procurement frameworks to identify high-impact entry points. Your work will involve building durable reference customers with nationwide signal value — turning early adopters into flagship accounts that demonstrate DeepL’s scalability and strategic relevance across federal administrations. You will own end-to-end accountability for defined federal and social security accounts, expanding existing usage into organization-wide, strategic deployments by aligning DeepL’s capabilities with long-term digital workplace initiatives and transformation roadmaps.
- • A core pillar of your role is the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of market-specific use cases that reflect the concrete value of DeepL in federal administrative, technical, and organizational contexts. You will co-develop and implement these use cases with customers — such as multilingual internal communications, secure document translation for cross-agency collaboration, AI-powered writing assistance for policy drafting, or real-time voice translation in international missions — and successfully scale proven models into repeatable rollout frameworks. This requires deep collaboration with Legal, Security, Product, and Leadership teams to ensure compliance with data sovereignty, classification standards, and IT security requirements (e.g., BSI, VS-NfD, GDPR).
- • You will navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, engaging political, technical, IT, security, and procurement decision-makers to steer intricate tendering, contracting, and alignment processes. This includes structuring co-selling and market development models with key partners such as federal IT service providers, system integrators, and consulting firms specializing in public sector digital transformation. Your ability to articulate DeepL’s AI value proposition in a manner that resonates with public sector priorities — efficiency, accessibility, compliance, and citizen service — will be essential to positioning the platform not as a tool, but as a strategic enabler of modern governance.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven deep understanding of federal administration and social security systems in Germany, including governance structures, budgeting processes, and procurement regulations (e.g., VgV, UVgO).
- • Established and reliable network within federal or governmental circles, with demonstrated ability to access and influence senior leadership in ministries, agencies, or social carriers.
- • Multiple years of experience in enterprise sales of complex, explanation-intensive software solutions, preferably in regulated industries such as public sector, healthcare, or finance.
- • Ability to structure and contextualize DeepL’s product and AI value proposition in a market-relevant way, translating technical capabilities into tangible business outcomes for public sector stakeholders.
