  • • Develop and execute enterprise sales strategies to target large organizations (>1k employees), building and maintaining a robust pipeline that drives long-term recurring revenue growth.
  • • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and initial outreach through contract negotiation and closing, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets.
  • • Sell Kong Konnect, a unified API and AI connectivity platform, to C-level executives and key decision-makers across multiple departments within enterprise accounts.
  • • Conduct customized product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer pain points, aligning Kong’s solutions with specific business outcomes.
  • • Build and nurture long-term relationships with enterprise stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to ensure customer retention and account expansion.
  • • Lead account planning by researching target industries, identifying market trends, and developing strategic approaches to win new business and grow existing accounts.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to align on customer needs and ensure a seamless sales and onboarding experience.
  • • Accurately forecast sales opportunities and maintain detailed, up-to-date records of all customer interactions and pipeline progress in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • • Stay current on industry developments, competitor offerings, and market shifts to effectively position Kong’s technology and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • • Represent Kong as a brand ambassador at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, upholding the company’s professional reputation.
  • • Provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams based on frontline customer insights to influence product development and go-to-market strategy.
  • • Operate autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, taking full ownership of your sales territory and adapting quickly to evolving market dynamics.
  • • Leverage analytical and strategic thinking to identify business growth opportunities and devise data-driven plans to capitalize on them.
  • • Demonstrate consultative selling skills by deeply understanding customer challenges and presenting compelling, outcome-oriented solutions that drive adoption and expansion.
  • • Maintain a results-driven mindset focused on exceeding sales quotas and contributing directly to Kong’s global revenue growth.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales targeting organizations with >1,000 employees
  • • Proven track record of closing complex SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software deals
  • • Demonstrated success selling to senior-level executives across multiple departments
  • • Strong consultative selling skills with ability to align solutions to business outcomes
  • • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for forecasting and pipeline management
  • • Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software is highly advantageous
