Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of high-impact field marketing programs that accelerate pipeline growth for Stack Exchange’s enterprise business across North America. You will design, budget, and deliver integrated campaigns that combine executive events, regional roadshows, targeted ABM plays, and third-party sponsorships to engage technical decision-makers at Fortune 1000 companies.
  • • Partner daily with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to identify whitespace accounts, map buying committees, and craft persona-specific messaging that turns cold prospects into qualified opportunities. You will sit in weekly forecast calls, translate MQL and SQL targets into quarterly marketing plans, and provide real-time visibility into program performance through Salesforce dashboards and Tableau reports.
  • • Build and nurture a thriving community of Stack Overflow for Teams champions, DevOps leaders, and CTOs through intimate executive dinners, user-group meetups, and virtual roundtables. You will secure marquee venues, recruit influential speakers, and create follow-up nurture tracks that keep attendees engaged long after the event ends.
  • • Conceptualize and launch creative “surround-sound” ABM campaigns that layer direct mail, LinkedIn Conversation Ads, custom microsites, and executive briefings to penetrate strategic accounts. You will experiment with gifting platforms, coordinate with SDRs on multi-threaded outreach, and iterate quickly based on engagement metrics and sales feedback.
  • • Manage a $1.2 M annual field budget with rigorous ROI discipline—negotiating vendor contracts, tracking spend in Allocadia, and reallocating dollars mid-quarter to double-down on programs that exceed pipeline and ACV targets. You will present quarterly business reviews to the CMO and VP of Sales, showcasing how marketing-sourced opportunities convert to closed-won revenue.
  • • Collaborate with Product Marketing to localize global messaging for regional nuances, ensuring every asset—from booth signage to email copy—speaks directly to the pain points of engineering managers struggling with knowledge silos and tool sprawl.
  • • Orchestrate Stack Exchange’s presence at marquee industry events such as AWS re:Invent, KubeCon, and Microsoft Ignite. You will define the expo strategy, staff the booth with technical evangelists, and design theater sessions that demo how Stack Overflow for Teams reduces onboarding time by 40%.
  • • Champion a data-driven culture by implementing multi-touch attribution models, experimenting with new intent-data providers, and publishing a monthly “Field Marketing Impact Report” that quantifies influenced pipeline, average deal size, and sales cycle compression.
  • • Mentor and up-level a distributed team of regional marketing coordinators, fostering an environment of psychological safety, continuous learning, and bold creativity. You will institute quarterly OKRs, run post-mortems on every program, and celebrate wins loudly in Slack.
  • • Serve as the external face of Stack Exchange at customer advisory boards, industry panels, and podcast interviews, articulating how our community-powered platform transforms software development workflows at scale.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of B2B field, event, or ABM marketing experience in enterprise SaaS; direct exposure to developer tools or technical audiences strongly preferred
  • • Proven track record of sourcing $10 M+ in pipeline through integrated campaigns and third-party events, with clear metrics on conversion to closed-won revenue
  • • Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, and ABM platforms (Demandbase, 6sense, or Terminus); comfortable building reports and dashboards from scratch
  • • Exceptional project-management skills: ability to juggle 15+ concurrent programs, manage external agencies, and hit aggressive deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent strategic experience is a plus

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly in-person team summits in destinations like Lisbon, Austin, or Tokyo
  • • Competitive base salary plus 20% performance bonus tied to pipeline and revenue goals
  • • $3,000 annual professional-development stipend for conferences, certifications, or courses
  • • Flexible PTO policy with a two-week company-wide winter shutdown and “no-meeting Fridays”
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents, plus 16 weeks of paid parental leave
