📋 Description

• The Enterprise Risk Senior Manager - Strategic and Reputational Risk is responsible for the management and oversight of second line Enterprise Risk Management services, focusing on strategic and reputational risks, advising line and senior leadership, and coordinating with risk partners to support the Bank’s risk framework and stakeholder expectations.
• Day to day, the role involves managing one or more ERM areas across business lines, ensuring adherence to risk policies, leading analysis and reporting, presenting to senior management and risk committees, identifying gaps, driving process improvements, managing data and analytics for risk oversight, and serving as a primary point of contact for stakeholders including regulators and internal audit.
• The team operates within M&T Bank’s Risk Management Division, collaborating with technology, business partners, and risk pillars to strengthen governance, controls, and enterprise-wide risk monitoring, while supporting automation and training initiatives.
• The person can learn to influence enterprise risk strategy, lead cross-functional risk initiatives, deepen expertise in strategic and reputational risk frameworks, and develop leadership capabilities in a complex financial services environment, with exposure to Board-level reporting and regulatory engagement.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience in risk, reporting, analytics, governance, or a relevant function
• Minimum of 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience
• Proficient computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing software, strong analytical abilities, and effective written and verbal communication across all organizational levels
