📋 Description
- • The role of Especialista Conservação I focuses on supporting the development, analysis, and implementation of strategic conservation initiatives, particularly in the restoration of native vegetation in Indigenous territories within the Cerrado biome, contributing to TNC’s mission of protecting lands and waters.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting project coordination and execution, managing and monitoring project timelines and indicators, facilitating technical information exchange between local, regional, and global teams, and representing TNC technically in forums and networks.
- • The team operates within The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a science-based global environmental organization working across local, national, and global levels, with integration into multidisciplinary teams including restoration, data science, and conservation in public, private, and collective territories.
- • The role offers opportunities to strengthen decision-making through technical knowledge and structured management, advance restoration in Indigenous territories, build governance and partnerships with Indigenous and traditional communities, and gain experience in jurisdictional initiatives and sustainable value chains in the Cerrado.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in technical analysis, report writing, and synthesis of strategic content in conservation or related fields.
- • Experience supporting complex analyses and evaluating information from multiple sources to inform recommendations and decisions.
- • Experience in project management support, including familiarity with time allocation, resource use, budget management, and goal attainment.
- • Experience managing contracts and technical consultants.
- • Ability to work independently, managing deadlines and priorities.
- • Experience building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, associations, institutions, media, government agents, and scientists.
