Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end EU licensing roadmap for Coins.ph’s expansion into Europe, translating high-growth ambitions into concrete regulatory approvals for EMI (Electronic Money Institution), CASP (Crypto-Asset Service Provider) and MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) authorisations across France, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany.
  • • Act as the single point of contact between Coins.ph and European regulators, central banks, FIUs and policy makers, cultivating trusted relationships that accelerate application timelines and de-risk supervisory feedback loops.
  • • Design and maintain a living regulatory heat-map that scores each jurisdiction on licensing complexity, capital requirements, passporting rights, stable-coin regimes, enforcement intensity and political stability; update the model monthly to inform board-level market-entry decisions.
  • • Secure and safeguard banking partnerships and SEPA connectivity by negotiating access agreements, drafting compliance attestations and presenting Coins.ph’s control framework to correspondent banks, ensuring seamless fiat on- and off-ramps for millions of users.
  • • Translate dense regulatory texts (PSD2, E-Money Directive, MiCA, AMLD6, DORA, GDPR) into crisp, actionable policy briefs, risk matrices and board slides that enable product, engineering and legal teams to ship compliant features at speed.
  • • Build and run a cross-functional licensing task-force—spanning legal, finance, risk, product and engineering—to gather evidence, draft application packs, respond to regulator questionnaires and shepherd each file from pre-submission to final licence grant.
  • • Monitor enforcement actions, public consultations and draft technical standards across the EU; issue fortnightly intelligence digests that flag emerging threats, competitive advantages and lobbying opportunities for senior leadership.
  • • Develop sandbox or innovation-hub strategies where appropriate, leveraging regulatory safe harbours to pilot novel crypto-fiat products before full-scale roll-out.
  • • Represent Coins.ph at industry working groups, public hearings and policy roundtables, shaping the regulatory narrative while gathering first-hand intel on forthcoming rule changes.
  • • Create scalable playbooks, templates and tooling that reduce the marginal cost and time of entering each additional EU country, turning regulatory excellence into a repeatable growth engine.
  • • Partner with external counsel, local compliance officers and auditors to maintain ongoing licence obligations, submit periodic returns and manage supervisory examinations with zero findings.
  • • Champion a culture of compliance across the organisation by delivering training sessions, policy office-hours and scenario-based workshops that demystify EU rules for non-lawyers.
  • • Influence product roadmaps by embedding regulatory checkpoints into sprint planning, ensuring that new features are “licence-ready” from day one rather than retro-fitted later.
  • • Own budget responsibility for all regulatory, licensing and government-relations spend across the EU, optimising external advisor spend while hitting aggressive timelines.
  • • Report directly to the CEO and Board, providing transparent KPI dashboards that track licence status, regulatory risk exposure and partnership pipeline velocity.
