- • Lead the curricular research and instructional design phases for new and revised AP courses, driving innovation in educational content that impacts over 3 million students annually and aligns with college credit standards.
- • Guide curriculum analysts, instructional designers, and subject matter experts in developing course frameworks, prototypes, and instructional resources; manage cross-functional collaboration with Learning Engineering, Access, and Strategy teams to ensure seamless project execution from inception to launch.
- • Join the College Board’s Advanced Placement and Instruction division, a mission-driven team of 300+ staff developing coursework and exams used by 4,000+ colleges and universities worldwide, where you will lead a new department focused on curricular research and design for major content initiatives.
- • Develop strategic leadership skills in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects; enhance expertise in instructional design, curriculum alignment with higher education standards, and innovation in pedagogical approaches while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in academic strategy, instructional design, or curriculum development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- • Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.
- • Deep understanding of instructional design principles across multiple disciplines, with the ability to apply this knowledge to create relevant, engaging content that meets college-level expectations.
- • Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences including senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders such as educators and policymakers.
- • Experience working in and managing staff in a matrixed team environment, comfortable with assembling and guiding flexible teams to meet evolving project needs.
