- • Executive Partner - CIO Advisory for Education Clients at Gartner, Inc. serves as a strategic advisor to CIOs and IT leaders in Higher Education and K-12 institutions, helping them drive digital transformation, assess technology priorities, and achieve business and student success through expert advisory services.
- • Day to day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of 25-30 education sector members, conducting virtual and onsite strategic consultations, facilitating workshops and peer collaborations, building engagement plans, delivering outcome-based services, and collaborating with Gartner analysts and internal teams to ensure member retention, growth, and satisfaction.
- • Gartner Executive Programs is a global, membership-based organization serving over 8,500 CIOs and IT leaders across 87 countries, providing exclusive research, advisory services, and tools to help technology leaders make sound decisions; the company fosters a collaborative, inclusive work environment with strong investment in leadership development and career growth.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in education technology leadership, enhance your ability to communicate IT business value to C-suite stakeholders, lead complex change initiatives in higher education and K-12 settings, and grow your impact as a trusted advisor shaping digital modernization in academic institutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or Doctorate preferred) with 15+ years of experience as a CIO, senior IT leader, or consultant in Higher Education and/or K-12 with executive-level responsibilities.
- • Proven experience as an accomplished CIO or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to drive change, communicate IT business value to leadership (e.g., Boards, Presidents), and align technology with institutional goals.
- • In-depth understanding of Education industry dynamics, including ERP transformation, Learning Management Systems, academic technologies, student life cycle CRM, operational AI, and the alignment of IT strategy with budget, funding, and student success initiatives.
