- • Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting homeowners on scheduled service calls, building trust through clear communication, and closing repair or upgrade sales by recommending the right solutions. Technicians then perform the work themselves, including replacing springs, rollers, motors, and other door components; installing keypads, running wiring, adjusting equipment for proper function; lubricating and testing systems; and using hand and power tools to complete jobs. They also collect payments, document each job, and ensure outstanding service that drives repeat and referral business.
- • The Philadelphia team is part of a growing, performance-driven culture rooted in A1’s national reputation for putting customers first and rewarding hustle, skill, and results. Technicians operate from a company-wrapped vehicle with a gas card, turning their mobile office into a hub for consultative sales and skilled service across the Cherry Hill/Mount Laurel area.
- • This role offers significant growth potential, including a 6-week paid training program (2 weeks in-market, 4 weeks at the Phoenix, AZ Training Academy with flights and lodging covered), a $1,000 graduation bonus, and uncapped commission structures where first-year earnings typically range from $90K to $150K+. Top performers routinely achieve six-figure incomes, with internal promotion opportunities available for those who excel in both sales and technical execution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 1 year of experience in garage door sales and service
- • Valid driver’s license with a 3+ year driving record
- • Ability to lift 75 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, and work in varying temperatures
- • Basic comfort with navigation apps, Google tools, tablets, and job-related software
- • Reading and basic math skills for measurements, estimates, and payment collection
