📋 Description

• As a Senior Sales Engineer at Fivetran, you will serve as a critical technical advisor to the Enterprise sales team, translating complex data pipeline capabilities into clear business value for large-scale customers. Your role is pivotal in helping enterprises achieve seamless, reliable data access—comparable to electricity—by designing and demonstrating how Fivetran’s fully managed data replication platform eliminates engineering overhead and accelerates time-to-insight.
• You will partner directly with Enterprise customers to uncover their intricate data integration challenges, map business objectives to technical requirements, and architect tailored proof-of-value engagements that validate Fivetran’s ability to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data pipelines across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Day to day, you will: conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to document data sources, volumes, latency needs, and compliance constraints; design and deliver compelling technical presentations and demos using real-world data scenarios; lead end-to-end proof-of-value (POV) processes, including environment setup, data loading, transformation validation, and performance benchmarking; collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities; maintain and strengthen relationships with key enterprise accounts and technology partners (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS); and continuously monitor emerging trends in cloud data infrastructure, ELT/ETL tools, and data governance to ensure Fivetran remains at the forefront of innovation.
• You will operate within Fivetran’s Enterprise sales organization, a high-performing, mission-driven team focused on scaling data adoption across Global 2000 companies. The team values technical rigor, customer empathy, and collaborative problem-solving, working in close alignment with Product and Engineering to ensure solutions are not only sold but successfully implemented and adopted.
• This role offers significant growth opportunities: you will deepen your expertise in modern data stack technologies, refine your ability to bridge technical and business audiences, and gain exposure to enterprise-scale architecture decisions. Success in this position can lead to advancement into technical leadership, solutions architecture, or enterprise sales enablement roles, all while contributing to Fivetran’s vision of making data access as simple and reliable as electricity.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data replication technologies
• Experience with modern data analytics stack including cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), transformation tools (dbt), data catalogs, and BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience diagnosing and resolving complex data integration issues
• 5+ years of experience selling IT services or products in enterprise or similarly complex B2B environments
