Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Deepgram is at the forefront of the burgeoning trillion-dollar Voice AI economy, providing essential real-time APIs for speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS), enabling the creation of production-grade voice agents at an unprecedented scale. Our platform is the engine behind over 200,000 developers and more than 1,300 organizations, powering their voice offerings under the banner ‘Powered by Deepgram’. Esteemed companies like Twilio, Cloudflare, Sierra, Decagon, Vapi, Daily, Cresta, Granola, and Jack in the Box rely on our technology.
- • We offer a unique, voice-native foundation model accessible via cloud APIs or as self-hosted and on-premises software, distinguished by its unparalleled accuracy, minimal latency, and exceptional cost efficiency. With a recent Series C funding round led by premier global investors and strategic partners, Deepgram has processed an astounding 50,000+ years of audio, transcribing over 1 trillion words. Our deep understanding of voice technology is unmatched in the industry.
- • At Deepgram, we champion an AI-first operating rhythm. Proficiency and comfort with AI are not optional; they are fundamental to our innovation, operations, and performance metrics. Every team member is expected to actively leverage and experiment with advanced AI tools, integrating them into their daily workflows to drive results. Success hinges on the consistent and creative application of the latest AI capabilities. Candidates must be adept at rapidly adopting new models and methodologies, seamlessly incorporating AI into their work, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can achieve.
- • We operate at the rapid pace of AI evolution, meaning your day-to-day responsibilities will likely evolve just as quickly. This role is ideal for individuals who are excited by experimentation, adaptation, critical thinking, and continuous learning, rather than those seeking a highly prescriptive, traditional 9-to-5 structure.
- • Deepgram is establishing a significant presence in San Francisco, centered around a purpose-built venue designed for high-quality, in-person engagement with developers, customers, partners, and the broader voice AI community. This is not a conventional office space; it is conceived primarily as an event-driven environment. It will host hands-on labs, technical showcases, workshops, research presentations, recruiting events, and curated gatherings.
- • Our objective is to create a tangible and meaningful presence for Deepgram in San Francisco through a consistent cadence of technically credible, thoughtfully executed, and impeccably managed experiences. We are seeking an experienced Event Producer / Events Manager to serve as the operational cornerstone of this program.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution and day-to-day readiness of the venue, transforming event concepts and objectives—developed in collaboration with our DevRel, Product, Research, and Marketing teams—into seamless, high-caliber events. This role is pivotal in defining how Deepgram engages in person, perfect for someone who excels in operational excellence, proactively anticipates needs, and takes immense pride in orchestrating complex events with apparent effortlessness.
- • While Deepgram maintains a remote-first culture, this position demands frequent on-site presence at our San Francisco office to ensure the successful execution of our event strategy.
- • Key Responsibilities include: Owning the operational execution of Deepgram’s San Francisco event program, guaranteeing that all events are delivered reliably, professionally, and to an exceptionally high standard. Translating defined event goals, formats, and content directives into flawlessly executed, on-time experiences, encompassing hackathons, technical workshops, research talks, recruiting events, and executive sessions.
- • Serving as the primary day-to-day operator of the SF event space, ensuring the venue is perpetually event-ready and capable of supporting diverse formats such as presentations, hands-on labs, interactive demos, and technical showcases. Developing and meticulously managing event timelines, detailed run-of-show documents, and comprehensive production plans to facilitate the smooth and predictable execution of complex events.
- • Coordinating all event logistics, including venue setup and breakdown, audio-visual (AV) requirements and recording, catering services, on-site signage, speaker coordination, and overall attendee experience management. Acting as the single point of accountability during event execution, empowered to make critical real-time decisions and adeptly manage contingencies with composure and effectiveness.
- • Collaborating closely with Developer Relations, Engineering, Research, Product, and Marketing teams to operationalize event concepts, provide robust support for technical programming, and ensure speakers and content are optimally prepared for successful delivery.
- • Managing relationships with external vendors and production partners, ensuring a balance between high production quality and prudent financial management. Creating standardized, repeatable operational playbooks and processes to enable scalable event execution without the need to re-engineer logistics for each event.
- • Supporting a select number of flagship or executive-facing events, such as summits, research previews, or board-related gatherings, as required. Conducting thorough post-event operational reviews and integrating lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in execution quality and reliability.
- • Content Coordination and Readiness: While event content is developed by our technical and product teams (including Developer Relations, Engineering, Research, Product, and external speakers), this role focuses on program management for content readiness. This involves coordinating with content owners to confirm speakers, scope materials appropriately, clarify timelines, and ensure content is prepared for live delivery. You will partner with content owners to translate ideas into executable events, verifying feasibility, optimal timing, and adequate support, all while maintaining focus on execution and delivery timelines.
- • This role is integral to Deepgram's physical presence and success in the Bay Area, offering a unique opportunity to shape the experience of our community and stakeholders.
