- • The Federal Operations Associate at GovSignals Inc. plays a pivotal role in transforming how the U.S. government approaches acquisition by supporting the go-to-market engine that drives federal business development. Working directly with the CEO and the federal team, this role is instrumental in turning strategic opportunities into closed deals by ensuring the team is well-prepared, operationally aligned, and equipped with high-impact materials. This is not a back-office function—it is a high-visibility, high-impact position where your work directly influences pipeline velocity and revenue outcomes in a mission-critical sector.
- • Day to day, you will research federal agencies, procurement opportunities, and key decision-makers to produce account briefs and engagement materials that give the business development team a strategic advantage before every meeting. You will support proposal development for government opportunities by drafting capability narratives and coordinating inputs across technical, legal, and sales teams to ensure compelling, compliant submissions. You will plan and execute conference strategy by identifying high-value events, coordinating pre-event outreach, managing logistics, and ensuring disciplined follow-up to maximize lead generation and relationship building. You will own the operational cadence by organizing and facilitating weekly syncs, pipeline reviews, and cross-functional check-ins to maintain rhythm and accountability across the federal team. You will produce weekly briefs for leadership that synthesize priorities, developments, risks, and opportunities, providing clear visibility into where attention and resources are needed. Additionally, you will build from scratch the templates, workflows, dashboards, and processes that do not yet exist—documenting everything to create a repeatable, scalable system that can grow with the company. You will also support commercial sales efforts with targeted research as needed, applying federal insights to broader market opportunities.

🎯 Requirements
- • 1-3 years of professional experience in any domain—military service, consulting, research, business development, government, startups, or non-traditional paths are all valued.
- • Strong writing skills: ability to produce clear, concise, fluff-free briefs, proposals, and research products daily is non-negotiable.
- • Genuine interest in national security, government technology, or public sector innovation.
- • Comfort building from scratch: you must thrive in creating processes, templates, and workflows where none exist yet.
- • Bonus: Military service, government experience, startup experience, or familiarity with CRM and project management tools.
