  • • The Federal Territory Account Manager for Civilian Agencies at Tenable is responsible for establishing and developing business through existing and new clients in the Federal Civilian Agencies sector, playing a critical role in driving revenue growth and market penetration for Tenable’s cybersecurity solutions within the U.S. federal market.
  • • Day to day, the role involves maintaining and developing the existing client base through regional marketing and direct sales activities, identifying and qualifying new opportunities via prospecting and networking, managing the territory’s sales pipeline, achieving assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets, providing sales forecasts, overseeing day-to-day activities of sales personnel (including inside sales reps and sales engineers), utilizing channel sales resources, and staying abreast of competitive intelligence to inform executive management.

  • • In this role, the individual can achieve significant impact by exceeding sales quotas, developing deep expertise in federal civilian agency sales processes, mastering consultative selling at the CxO level, and growing into a trusted advisor within the federal cybersecurity space, with clear pathways for career advancement in federal sales leadership.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of sales experience
  • • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO level
  • • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
  • • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • • Strong working knowledge of federal standards, regulations, and mandates as they apply to specific Federal Civilian Agencies
  • • Demonstrated success in working with Federal Civilian Agencies in a sales or business development capacity
