- • As a Field Data Specialist – Archeologist, you will support fieldwork throughout Southern and Central California, conducting pedestrian surveys, construction monitoring, and testing, including collection of field data, digital photography, artifact identification, GPS data collection, and mapping.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with construction crews on monitoring needs and schedules, maintaining project files and confidentiality, interacting with customers and clients, exercising safe work practices per OSHA regulations, and performing other duties as assigned.

- • In this role, you will develop hands-on field archaeology expertise, strengthen technical documentation and GPS mapping skills, gain experience working in regulated environmental compliance environments, and build professional resilience through physically demanding, mission-driven fieldwork.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related discipline
- • Completion of an archaeological field school or equivalent experience
- • At least two (2) years of experience in California with archaeological survey, construction monitoring, and site recording
- • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and own transportation for travel to project sites, including off-paved roads
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and experience with GPS equipment and Field Maps, Survey 123, or similar software
- • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills for interacting with construction crews and clients
