Full Job Description

šŸ“‹ Description

  • • As a Field Sales Representative at TheFork (part of Tripadvisor Group), you will play a pivotal role in expanding the platform’s presence by onboarding restaurants across Berlin and surrounding regions, directly contributing to the growth of Europe’s leading restaurant booking platform and helping diners discover exceptional dining experiences.
  • • You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with restaurant owners and managers through proactive outreach, including drop-in visits and scheduled meetings, to present TheFork’s suite of tools — including table management software, promotional features (e.g., 30% off bills), online booking widgets, and marketing solutions — tailored to each client’s operational needs and goals.
  • • Your day-to-day will involve conducting 4–5 client interactions daily, combining field visits with follow-up activities, where you will actively listen to restaurateurs’ challenges, demonstrate how TheFork Manager and the platform’s guest network can increase visibility, reduce no-shows, and boost revenue, while building trust through consultative, solution-focused conversations.
  • • You will manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure, ensuring restaurants are successfully published on TheFork and affiliated websites, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, and consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets through disciplined pipeline management and persistent follow-up.
  • • You will join a dynamic, multicultural sales team within TheFork’s Berlin office, collaborating with peers across 10 European locations to share best practices, learn from regional market insights, and contribute to a people-first culture grounded in respect, ownership, growth, and collective success.
  • • Through this role, you will develop advanced B2B sales expertise in the hospitality tech sector, sharpen your negotiation and relationship-building skills, gain deep familiarity with restaurant operations and digital transformation trends, and position yourself for career growth within a fast-moving, innovative company committed to employee development and internal mobility.

šŸŽÆ Requirements

  • • Fluency in German and a good command of English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with restaurant clients and internal teams.
  • • Proven sales experience with a track record of closing deals, preferably in B2B, hospitality, or restaurant environments, demonstrating comfort with short-term negotiations and independent deal execution.
  • • Strong self-drive, results orientation, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of daily client interactions (4–5 drop-ins/meetings) and follow up persistently to convert leads into closed deals.
  • • Proficiency in using PCs and Microsoft Office, with CRM software experience considered a plus for tracking client interactions and managing the sales pipeline.
  • • Passion for food, technology, and the restaurant industry, combined with customer-centric, persuasive, and influencing skills to understand client needs and present TheFork’s value proposition compellingly.

šŸ–ļø Benefits

  • • Permanent contract providing long-term job security and stability.
  • • Flexible working model: 2 days of home office per week, plus up to 4 additional weeks of full remote work annually (summer and December periods).
  • • Competitive fixed salary performance-based bonus structure to reward achievement and overachievement of targets.
  • • Access to lifestyle benefits for reimbursement of expenses related to physical activities, leisure, family support, and travel.
  • • Free subscription to the Calm app to support mental well-being and resilience-building.
  • • Generous parental and caregiver leave policies (12 weeks fully paid), life and disability insurance at no cost, and attractive pension plans.
  • • Access to continuous learning and development programs, team-building events, and modern offices featuring dining areas, coffee points, and leisure spaces.
  • • Inclusive, multicultural work environment across 10 European offices, fostering collaboration and belonging for all employees regardless of background.
