Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own and grow the Chevron & Texaco commercial fleet-card market across Central California, acting as the face of two globally respected brands and the primary driver of new business revenue for WEX Inc.
- • Hunt, qualify and close net-new commercial accounts—ranging from owner-operator trucking firms to multi-location service fleets—by uncovering pain points in fuel spend, expense control and driver convenience, then positioning the Chevron card as the definitive solution.
- • Build and execute a data-driven territory plan that pinpoints high-density corridors, emerging industry clusters and competitor strongholds; review progress weekly with your Sales Manager and pivot tactics in real time to maximize gallons, active cards and recurring revenue.
- • Self-generate 80 % of your pipeline through disciplined prospecting: cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, trade-show networking, referral programs and strategic partnerships with telematics providers, leasing companies and local associations.
- • Deliver compelling discovery calls and tailored presentations—both in-person and virtual—that translate complex payment analytics into clear ROI for CFOs, fleet managers and business owners; leverage WEX’s mobile demo tools and Chevron’s nationwide fueling footprint to create urgency and differentiation.
- • Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce: log every activity, forecast revenue within 10 % accuracy, and keep opportunity stages current so leadership can allocate marketing dollars and product enhancements where they matter most.
- • Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs (net new cards, incremental gallons, revenue) while simultaneously cross-selling WEX value-adds such as OTR cards, telematics integrations and spend-management analytics to deepen wallet share and reduce churn.
- • Travel up to 60 % across the Central California territory (Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Monterey, Salinas and surrounding counties) by car and regional air when needed; organize multi-stop route plans that maximize face-to-face meetings and minimize windshield time.
- • Collaborate with internal credit, implementation and customer-success teams to ensure smooth onboarding, rapid card activation and early-life usage campaigns that lock in customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
- • Champion market intelligence back to product and marketing: report competitor moves, pricing sensitivity and emerging customer needs so WEX can refine offers and stay two steps ahead in the fleet-payment space.
- • Represent WEX and Chevron at regional trade shows, chamber events and industry seminars, elevating brand visibility and capturing qualified leads while embodying the companies’ shared commitment to innovation, integrity and customer obsession.
- • Operate with autonomy in a remote-first environment, managing your calendar, expenses and customer follow-ups with the discipline of a true entrepreneur; leverage WEX’s tech stack (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Tableau dashboards) to work smarter, not harder.
