Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Be the face of Dynapower, a Sensata Technologies company, as you commission, maintain, and repair cutting-edge power conversion and generation equipment that powers the clean-energy revolution. You will travel up to 50 % across the U.S. (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, West Coast, Pacific Northwest, and South-Central regions) to ensure our renewable-energy, energy-storage, and industrial customers achieve maximum uptime and performance.
  • • Own the complete field-service lifecycle: pre-installation site surveys, on-site commissioning, preventive-maintenance scheduling, emergency troubleshooting, and post-service reporting. You will use advanced electrical test gear, oscilloscopes, and PLC/HMI interfaces to validate system integrity, tune control loops, and integrate communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and Ethernet/IP.
  • • Diagnose complex electrical, electronic, and control-system faults on high-power rectifiers, inverters, DC-DC converters, and battery-energy-storage systems rated from tens of kilowatts to multi-megawatts. Your root-cause analyses will directly influence design improvements and reliability enhancements.
  • • Develop and refine preventive-maintenance procedures, calibration routines, and safety lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols that reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life. Your documentation will become the gold standard used by internal teams and customers alike.
  • • Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on proper system operation, alarm response, and routine upkeep. Your ability to translate technical jargon into clear, actionable instructions will empower customers to run their assets safely and efficiently.
  • • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to feed real-world field data into next-generation product designs. Your insights on component wear, environmental stressors, and user-interface pain points will accelerate continuous-improvement cycles.
  • • Maintain meticulous service records, expense reports, and calibration certificates using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and our cloud-based field-service platform. Accurate data ensures warranty compliance, regulatory traceability, and informed decision-making.
  • • Champion safety at every site: enforce NFPA 70E electrical-safety standards, conduct job-hazard analyses, and verify that all lock-out/tag-out procedures are followed. Your vigilance protects both personnel and multi-million-dollar assets.
  • • Respond to emergency call-outs—sometimes on nights, weekends, or holidays—to restore critical infrastructure. Your rapid, methodical troubleshooting keeps data centers, utilities, and renewable-energy plants online when every minute counts.
  • • Contribute to the development of remote-monitoring and predictive-maintenance strategies by installing IoT sensors, configuring data gateways, and validating cloud analytics. Your work will shift the organization from reactive repairs to proactive optimization.
  • • Mentor junior technicians and cross-train internal teams on new product lines, test techniques, and customer-communication best practices. Your leadership will multiply the impact of every service hour.
  • • Uphold Dynapower’s reputation for world-class support by delivering professional, courteous service that turns customers into long-term partners and advocates for Sensata’s clean-energy mission.
