- • As a Field Service Engineer at Illumina, you will deliver on-site service and technical expertise for sequencing and genomics instrumentation, directly enabling scientific breakthroughs in life sciences, oncology, and reproductive health.
- • Day to day, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex electromechanical, optical, robotic, and electronic systems in customer labs across Paris and East France, while coordinating with sales, applications, and support teams to maximize instrument uptime and customer success.
- • You will join a mission-driven team at Illumina, a global leader in genomic technology committed to health equity, where collaboration, innovation, and making a tangible impact on human health are core values.
- • In this role, you will deepen your technical expertise in genomics instrumentation, strengthen customer-facing problem-solving skills, and grow as a trusted technical advisor who helps scientists achieve meaningful research outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering field or equivalent hands-on engineering industry experience
- • Fluency in both French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- • Willingness to travel up to 80% across Paris and the East of France
- • Experience with complex machinery in healthcare or lab environments, including optical, robotic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- • Proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair technical systems while delivering excellent customer service
- • Competency with computers, lab safety practices, and genomics/sequencing applications (advantageous)
