📋 Description

• • Be the critical link between Munters’ world-class climate solutions and the data centers that power the planet. As a Field Service Technician – HVAC Data Center, you will travel up to 90 % of the time across the United States, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Munters precision cooling and dehumidification systems that keep servers running 24/7.
• • Own the entire service lifecycle on site: factory start-up, commissioning, warranty support, and billable service calls. You will interpret electrical schematics, refrigeration diagrams, and PLC logic to diagnose faults, adjust parameters, and restore peak performance—often under pressure with Fortune 500 operators watching.
• • Act as the face of Munters to customers, delivering hands-on training to facility engineers and operators so they can confidently run and maintain their systems. Your clear, concise field service reports feed directly back to R&D and production, driving continuous improvement in next-generation equipment.
• • Coordinate multi-trade teams—electricians, riggers, controls vendors, and general contractors—while you lead the critical start-up phase. Your project-management mindset ensures schedules stay on track, safety protocols are followed, and every system passes stringent performance tests before hand-off.
• • Master advanced refrigeration practices: pressure testing to 650 psig, deep vacuum to 500 microns, and precise charging of R-410A, R-407C, and low-GWP refrigerants. You will braze, solder, and leak-test copper and stainless lines in tight plenums, often six feet or more above the floor.
• • Diagnose complex electrical faults in 480 V three-phase power distribution, VFDs, ECM motors, and control circuits. Utilize multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes to capture waveforms, then upload findings to the Munters cloud for remote engineering support.
• • Program and troubleshoot PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens) via laptop or HMI. Adjust PID loops, alarm setpoints, and energy-saving sequences to match each data center’s unique heat load and redundancy requirements.
• • Champion safety every day: enforce arc-flash boundaries, verify lock-out/tag-out, and ensure PPE compliance for yourself and every contractor on site. Complete JSA forms, near-miss reports, and customer safety orientations without exception.
• • Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis, responding to critical alarms that could impact global cloud services. Your rapid diagnostics and calm communication minimize downtime and protect customer SLAs.
• • Leverage Munters’ state-of-the-art mobile app to capture photos, vibration readings, refrigerant weights, and customer signatures in real time. Your data becomes the foundation for predictive maintenance programs and future system designs.
• • Mentor junior technicians and interns, sharing field-proven techniques and safety best practices. Your leadership helps grow the next generation of Munters service experts.
• • Continuously expand your technical depth through factory training, online modules, and industry conferences. Munters invests in your certifications—NATE, RSES, CMRT, NFPA 70E—to keep you at the forefront of HVAC and controls technology.
