📋 Description

• • Lead comprehensive financial planning and forecasting for both fiat and cryptocurrency assets, including burn rate analysis, runway modeling, and scenario planning across multiple market conditions.
• • Establish and manage a proprietary treasury system that holds and allocates fiat and crypto capital, ensuring optimal asset diversification and liquidity management.
• • Implement accurate accounting practices for on-chain transactions, token inflows/outflows, and non-custodial wallet holdings in alignment with GAAP/IFRS and crypto-specific accounting standards.
• • Design, enforce, and continuously improve financial systems, internal controls, and operational processes to support scalable growth in a high-velocity Web3 environment.
• • Ensure full compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements across multiple international jurisdictions, particularly as they pertain to cryptocurrency assets and decentralized finance activities.
• • Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting and insights to the COO, executive leadership, board of directors, and institutional investors, translating complex crypto metrics into strategic business intelligence.
• • Identify emerging financial risks and opportunities unique to Web3, such as token volatility, regulatory shifts, and on-chain transaction anomalies, and propose data-driven mitigation and growth strategies.
• • Lead, mentor, and develop a global finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and operational excellence in financial execution.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to align financial strategy with product roadmap, tokenomics design, and capital deployment priorities.
• • Build and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure ongoing compliance and transparency across all financial activities.
• • Oversee the implementation of financial technology tools and dashboards tailored to track crypto asset movements, treasury performance, and real-time financial health metrics.
• • Participate in investor communications, fundraising rounds, and capital structure decisions, providing financial due diligence and modeling for token-based fundraising and equity structures.
• • Stay ahead of evolving global regulatory frameworks for digital assets and proactively adapt company policies to maintain legal and financial integrity.
• • Represent Somnia in financial forums, industry discussions, and audits, serving as the primary financial spokesperson for the organization.
• • Ensure transparent and auditable documentation of all financial transactions, including smart contract interactions, wallet movements, and token vesting schedules.
• • Drive efficiency in financial workflows by automating repetitive tasks, reducing manual reconciliation, and integrating on-chain data with traditional accounting platforms.
• • Maintain strict segregation of duties and custody protocols for crypto assets, minimizing exposure to security risks and unauthorized access.
• • Contribute to the development of token economics models that balance incentives, sustainability, and long-term treasury value preservation.
• • Monitor macroeconomic trends and crypto market dynamics to inform strategic financial decisions and capital allocation priorities.
