The primary focus areas for these reviews include Federal Financial Aid (Title IV) compliance, Veterans Funding administration, Student Advising protocols, and broader University operational standards.
  • • The scope of these reviews is dynamic and will adapt based on ongoing University projects, evolving regulatory landscapes, and changes in compliance requirements, ensuring the University remains at the forefront of regulatory adherence.
  • • As an integral member of the team, the Specialist will play a pivotal role in clearly articulating review findings, identifying significant trends, and presenting these insights to various University stakeholders. This involves translating complex data into actionable information that drives improvements.

This involves diligently monitoring communications and releases from key external agencies such as the Department of Education, the Veteran Affairs department, and accrediting bodies.

  • • The role involves performing comprehensive internal reviews of University controls to assess compliance with both internal policies and external mandates, ensuring a robust framework for financial aid management.
  • • Identifying error trends during internal audits is a core duty. The Specialist will synthesize these findings and present them effectively to University stakeholders, facilitating targeted interventions and improvements.

  • • Preparation, review, and organization of data and records for annual compliance audits and interim audits, as needed, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • • Providing guidance and support to University staff, faculty, and administrators on compliance matters, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • • Ensuring accurate and organized documentation of review processes, compliance memos, and audit-related materials is crucial for record-keeping and future reference.
  • • Monitoring and interpreting regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring the University's compliance and strategic alignment with evolving standards.
