- • The Financial Reporting Professional 2 prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for external and internal users, ensuring compliance with government regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial reporting that supports decision-making across Humana’s healthcare operations.
- • Day-to-date financial statements, prepare consolidation journal entries, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate divisional and subsidiary financial accounts for inclusion in internal and external reporting• Perform flux/variance analysis, interpret financial data, and make independent determinations on appropriate courses of action for reporting accuracy and compliance• Work under the guidance of the Financial Reporting Lead with autonomy to decide work methods while receiving support when needed• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment with departmental, segment, and organizational strategy and operating goals• Maintain HIPAA-compliant remote work environment by working from a dedicated space free of interruptions to protect member PHI• Participate in occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings as required• About the team or company: Humana Inc. is a leading U.S. healthcare company dedicated to improving health and well-being for millions through its insurance services and CenterWell healthcare offerings. 🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- • 2+ years of Finance work experience with demonstrated experience in flux/variance analysis and financial reporting
- • Excel proficiency, including ability to alter macros, create and use pivot tables, formulas, and V-lookups
- • Ability to accommodate EST or CST time zone working hours
