📋 Description

• As a Fintech Strategy & Operations Analyst at Mews Systems B.V., you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between high-level fintech and payments strategy and its practical, end-to-end execution. This pivotal role sits at the dynamic intersection of strategy, finance, and operational implementation, demanding a blend of analytical rigor, cross-functional coordination, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Your primary responsibility will be to translate ambitious fintech visions and business cases into clear, actionable execution plans and roadmaps. This involves defining project scope, establishing key milestones, assigning ownership, and identifying critical success metrics to ensure alignment and measurable progress across all involved teams.
• You will act as a central coordinator for critical cross-functional fintech initiatives. This includes managing complex projects such as payment gateway migrations, the rollout of new product features, significant process re-engineering, or strategic pricing adjustments. Your ability to orchestrate these efforts will be key to Mews' continued innovation and operational excellence.
• A core aspect of the role involves acting as a vital link between the Finance and Pricing teams and the broader Operations and R&D departments. You will be expected to rigorously challenge financial models and business assumptions, ensuring that strategic financial plans are grounded in operational reality. By transforming data-driven insights into prioritized, realistic, and achievable plans, you will empower leadership to make informed decisions.
• You will be responsible for creating concise, executive-ready materials that clearly articulate strategic options, potential trade-offs, and the necessary resourcing requirements. This requires exceptional communication skills, enabling you to distill complex information into digestible formats for senior stakeholders.
• Proactively identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and potential risks within fintech workflows will be a continuous part of your remit. You will then drive the implementation of pragmatic, effective improvements to optimize these processes and mitigate risks.
• In a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will meticulously track actions, decisions, and commitments to ensure consistent follow-through and accountability across all teams. This requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to driving projects to completion.

🎯 Requirements

• Approximately 3-6+ years of experience in consulting, banking, strategy, business analysis, or a similar analytical role, with a preference for experience within SaaS, fintech, or payments industries.
• Proven experience in driving or supporting multi-stakeholder initiatives, such as migrations, product/feature rollouts, or significant changes to processes or operating models.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with comfort in working with data, developing business cases, and understanding financial models.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and build strong relationships across diverse functional teams.
• High tolerance for ambiguity, a strong sense of ownership, and a demonstrated ability to ensure follow-through, even when faced with changing circumstances.
