- • The FIU Analyst - Detection role at SouthState Bank is critical to safeguarding the institution against financial crime by monitoring, investigating, and reporting suspicious activity in compliance with BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC regulations. This position directly supports the bank’s mission to protect customers and maintain regulatory integrity through proactive fraud detection and mitigation.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing fraud alerts from surveillance systems, researching high-risk transactions across payment channels, investigating debit card data breaches, conducting account reviews, documenting findings in a case management system, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to escalate suspicious activity via Unusual Activity Referral Forms. The role requires constant monitoring of digital content for abuse and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of banking products and associated fraud risks.
