- • Operate and maintain Electronic Performance Tracking Systems (EPTS) and Goal-Line Technology (GLT) during live football matches at stadiums in Firenze and across Italy.
- • Arrive at stadiums up to six hours before kick-off and remain up to one hour after match completion to ensure full system coverage.
- • Perform pre-match setup on match days and be available on setup days prior to matches as required by operational needs.
- • Verify and troubleshoot fibre optic connections between stadium network switches to ensure stable data transmission.
- • Establish and maintain network connections between the EPTS room and the GLT/VAR van using networks .2 and .3.
- • Configure and test Dante audio communication links with Replay Operator (RO), Assistant Replay Operator (ARO), Video Technical Guarantee (VTG), and Technical Guarantee (TG) at the Remote Centre.
- • Calibrate the GLT system prior to each match using official checklists and conduct reliability and precision tests.
- • Monitor system performance during the referees’ test two hours before kick-off and implement corrective actions for any detected issues.
- • Perform colorimetry correction of Ultra Motion cameras (UM1 and UM2) on the goal line in coordination with camera control to match broadcast camera output.
- • Continuously monitor EPTS and GLT system functionality during live matches and respond to faults with support from the onsite news station.
- • Upload all required match data to EPTS Remote Support following match conclusion.
- • Assist Video Technical Guarantee (VTG) and GLT Operator with post-match disassembly and equipment packing procedures.
- • Work in a high-pressure, live broadcast environment with strict procedural adherence and minimal supervision.
- • Communicate professionally in English with international colleagues and technical support teams.
- • Adapt to irregular working hours, including weekends and midweek fixtures, throughout the football season.
- • Travel locally within Italy and potentially across Europe as needed for tournament assignments including Serie A, Serie B, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Europa League.
- • Receive full technical training on Hawk-Eye systems and be encouraged to develop skills for future progression within the company.
- • Maintain a proactive, responsible attitude with strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately under time-sensitive conditions during live events.
