- • The Formulary Operations Management Professional 2 provides clinical and operational leadership for the build, maintenance, submission, and updating of formularies and drug lists, ensuring accuracy in the Centralized Formulary System and supporting Humana’s mission to improve consumer health experiences.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare professionals and pharmacists to operationalize formularies, performing formulary analysis to ensure smooth operational flow, developing measurements and plans for process improvement and efficiency, creating formulary management process and training documentation, and making independent decisions in ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
- • The role sits within Humana’s centralized formulary operations team, contributing to a leading U.S. healthcare company that serves millions through insurance and CenterWell healthcare services, with a focus on quality care delivery for Medicare, Medicaid, families, individuals, and military personnel.
- • The person in this role can develop expertise in formulary operations, process improvement methodologies (including Lean and Six Sigma), data analysis using Access, SQL, and Excel, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment, with opportunities to influence organizational efficiency and patient outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree
- • Less than 5 years of technical experience
- • Prior demonstrated experience with process improvement or process design and implementation roles
- • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Visio, Excel, and Access
- • Ability to handle change in a fast-paced environment
- • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
