  • • As a Forward Deployed Consultant at HockeyStack, you will serve as the critical strategic bridge between enterprise customers and internal product, engineering, and data teams, translating complex business challenges into actionable solutions that drive measurable revenue impact and platform adoption.
  • • Your role is pivotal in ensuring HockeyStack’s agent infrastructure delivers real, scalable value by embedding customer insights directly into the product roadmap and execution cycle, making you a key driver of customer success and company growth in a high-stakes, early-stage SaaS environment.
  • • You will build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders at Fortune 500 B2B companies, conducting regular discovery sessions to uncover evolving GTM challenges, goals, and pain points across sales, marketing, and customer success functions.
  • • You will synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs — including customer interviews, usage data, and market trends — to clearly scope internal projects, define success metrics, and prioritize initiatives that align with both customer outcomes and HockeyStack’s strategic objectives.
  • • You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements, ensuring solutions are feasible, scalable, and delivered on time while maintaining rigorous documentation and clear communication throughout the lifecycle.
  • • You will develop and deliver executive-level presentations and recommendations to customer stakeholders, framing technical insights in terms of business outcomes such as pipeline acceleration, conversion lift, or retention improvement, and securing buy-in for next steps.
  • • You will proactively identify expansion opportunities — such as new use cases, additional data sources, or team rollouts — based on deep understanding of customer workflows and platform capabilities, driving net revenue retention and upsell potential.
  • • You will collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless handoffs, continuity of engagement, and consistent messaging from onboarding through long-term strategic partnership.
  • • You will embrace a consulting mindset when faced with ambiguity: structuring open-ended problems, designing hypothesis-driven investigations, gathering relevant data from internal and external sources, and synthesizing findings into clear, actionable reports that guide decision-making.
  • • You will contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting best practices, customer learnings, and recurring patterns to help refine HockeyStack’s methodology, playbooks, and product offerings over time.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, client advisory, or a strategic customer-facing role, preferably with MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or equivalent tier-1 firm background
  • • Proven ability to understand complex B2B GTM motions and connect customer challenges to strategic, data-informed solutions that drive business outcomes
  • • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with comfort presenting to C-suite executives and navigating matrixed organizational structures
  • • Strong analytical aptitude — skilled at working with data to identify patterns, test hypotheses, and structure ambiguous problems into clear, actionable recommendations
  • • Familiarity with B2B SaaS, marketing operations, sales enablement, or revenue analytics is a strong plus
  • • Ownership-first mindset: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in high-urgency, early-stage environments where speed and impact are paramount
