Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Forward-Deployed Engineer at Ruby Labs Ltd., you will serve as the critical technical bridge between the company’s payment orchestration platform and the internal and external product teams integrating it, ensuring seamless adoption, accurate implementation, and rapid resolution of integration challenges across JavaScript SDKs, Golang APIs, and internal CRM tools.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting product teams in embedding and configuring the JavaScript payment SDK into their frontend applications, guiding them on payment flows, callbacks, and error handling; monitoring and responding to technical inquiries in Slack, ticketing systems, and shared chats; reproducing integration issues in test environments to distinguish between genuine bugs, misconfigurations, and documentation gaps; reviewing and validating API and SDK documentation against real-world behavior to maintain accuracy and clarity; using and providing feedback on the internal Next.js CRM to configure product settings and payment flows; and acting as the voice of integrators by surfacing recurring friction points, improvement ideas, and edge cases to engineering and product teams to drive platform enhancements.
- • Ruby Labs is a fast-moving, innovative tech company building consumer-facing products across health, education, and entertainment industries, with a strong focus on developer experience and platform reliability; the Forward-Deployed Engineer role sits at the intersection of engineering, support, and product, enabling the company to scale its payment solutions by ensuring integrations are correct, well-documented, and supported by actionable feedback.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack integration workflows, gain hands-on experience with frontend SDKs and backend APIs in a production environment, sharpen your debugging and technical communication skills, and directly influence product quality and developer experience by shaping SDK design, API clarity, and documentation based on real-world usage—positioning you for growth into senior engineering, developer advocacy, or platform engineering roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and frontend integrations, including practical work with SDKs or third-party APIs in web applications.
- • Ability to read, understand, and debug backend APIs (REST, JSON, auth flows), particularly Golang-based systems, and trace issues across frontend-backend boundaries.
- • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including writing clear documentation and providing effective support.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Remote Work Environment: Work from anywhere within approximately ±4 hours of CET, enabling flexibility and work-life balance while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
- • Unlimited PTO: Take paid time off as needed to recharge and prioritize well-being without accrual limits or tracking.
- • Company-provided MacBook: Receive a high-performance Apple MacBook to ensure seamless productivity and access to necessary development tools.
