- • As a Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Zeit AI, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how businesses leverage their data through the power of Large Language Models (LLMs). You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex data systems and the needs of non-technical users, enabling them to answer critical business questions and automate workflows that were once resource-intensive or impossible.
- • Our mission is to build the autonomous data agent for Europe, empowering companies to unlock the full potential of their data. You will work directly with a diverse range of clients, integrating with their real-world data sources, including ERP systems, CRM data, spreadsheets, and internal databases. Your expertise will be crucial in connecting these disparate data sources and modeling them to solve concrete business problems using the Zeit AI product.
- • This role demands a unique blend of technical problem-solving, product translation, and trusted partnership. You will be the primary technical point of contact for customers, deeply understanding their challenges and translating them into actionable solutions within our platform. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, identify the core issues, and devise effective strategies will be paramount.
- • You will own customer problems end-to-end, from initial data connection and workflow design to final implementation and value delivery. While you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, you will have the unwavering support of our strong engineering team, ensuring you have the resources and expertise needed to succeed.
- • The ideal candidate thrives on tackling messy, real-world data challenges where information may be incomplete, inconsistent, or poorly documented. You possess a systems-thinking mindset, viewing problems through the lens of workflows and interconnected systems rather than isolated dashboards or models. A deep satisfaction comes from seeing solutions work in production and demonstrably deliver tangible value to the customer.
- • You are comfortable operating with a degree of ambiguity, enjoying the process of figuring out the 'right' solution rather than waiting for explicit instructions. Learning from real-world usage and channeling those insights back into product development and engineering is a core aspect of this role, making you a vital feedback loop for continuous improvement.
- • Your technical foundation should be solid, with a mandatory proficiency in SQL. Experience with TypeScript is a significant advantage, as it aligns with our end-to-end technology stack. You will be instrumental in ensuring our product not only meets but exceeds customer expectations in production environments.

- • You will be working with a modern tech stack, primarily TypeScript end-to-end, with React on the frontend. The backend involves SQL, Postgres, and robust production data systems.
