- • As the Founding Customer Success Manager at Carla AI, you will own the end-to-end customer journey—from onboarding and activation to retention and expansion—for an AI-powered voice agent transforming the rental industry. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the customer success function from scratch, directly influencing product direction and customer outcomes while working closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams.
- • Day to day, you will lead new customers through implementation by configuring Carla AI for their rental operations, integrating with their management systems, setting up knowledge bases and call flows, and training teams to self-serve using the dashboard and analytics tools. You will define and track activation milestones, monitor customer health via usage and performance data, manage renewals, handle escalations with empathy, and identify expansion opportunities such as additional locations or higher-tier plans.
- • You will join Carla AI, an independent business unit within Valsoft Corporation, which builds and scales vertical market software companies with long-term investment and disciplined operations. Carla AI is purpose-built for the rental industry, starting with car rental operators across North America, and integrates directly with rental management systems to deliver 24/7 automated support with human handoff when needed. As one of the first customer-facing hires, you will help shape onboarding playbooks, define customer health metrics, and establish the foundations of a scalable success function.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in B2B SaaS customer success, AI product adoption, and the rental technology landscape. You will build repeatable processes, refine onboarding playbooks, create customer health frameworks, and contribute to product roadmap decisions through structured feedback. Over time, you will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the customer success function scales, gaining ownership over retention, expansion, and customer advocacy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2 to 4 years of experience in customer success, account management, or implementation within B2B SaaS
- • Demonstrated ability to onboard and retain customers, with a track record of driving adoption and reducing churn
- • Strong project management instincts: comfortable managing multiple customer implementations and timelines simultaneously
- • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train, present, and build trust with non-technical operators
- • Proactive and empathetic: anticipates customer needs rather than waiting for escalations
- • Comfortable working with data to monitor customer health, spot trends, and inform decisions
- • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent)
- • Self motivated, detail oriented, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced, evolving environment
