📋 Description

• • Architect the first touch-point between human experts and AI teammates. You will own the entire frontend stack—React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Next.js—while shaping UX patterns that let actuaries and underwriters orchestrate thousands of documents, models, and agents in parallel.
• • Build the foundational interface for long-horizon, multi-turn reasoning. Insurance workflows can span weeks and require dozens of tools (pricing engines, regulatory databases, catastrophe models). You will design drag-and-drop canvases, branching timelines, and real-time progress indicators that make complex agentic systems feel intuitive.
• • Empower non-coders to wield code. Underwriters will launch Python notebooks and SQL queries through natural language prompts. You will create inline code editors, live variable inspectors, and instant rollback controls that give domain experts the power of software engineers without the learning curve.
• • Deliver pixel-perfect, performant experiences at scale. Policies can contain 10k+ pages of unstructured PDFs, satellite imagery, and IoT streams. You will virtualize scroll regions, lazy-load heavy visualizations, and optimize WebGL/Canvas rendering so that every interaction stays under 16 ms.
• • Collaborate end-to-end. Sit shoulder-to-shoulder with designers to refine micro-interactions, pair with ML engineers to stream agent logs through WebSockets, and jump into our Node/TypeScript backend when a feature spans the stack. We practice continuous deployment; your PRs can hit production within hours.
• • Rapidly prototype and iterate. One week you’ll ship a proof-of-concept for side-by-side policy comparison; the next you’ll A/B test a new navigation paradigm with power users. Speed and quality are not trade-offs here—they are table stakes.
• • Influence product direction. As a founding engineer you will join customer calls, synthesize feedback, and turn ambiguous pain points into concrete roadmap items. Your GitHub commits today become the patterns the next 100 engineers extend tomorrow.
• • Champion accessibility and design systems from day one. Insurance professionals range from 22-year-old data scientists to 60-year-old senior underwriters. You will bake keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels, and responsive layouts into every component so that AI teammates truly serve everyone.
• • Instrument, measure, and improve. Embed analytics to track task-completion rates, funnel drop-offs, and agent reliability. Use these insights to refine UX and prove ROI to Fortune 500 carriers.
• • Grow with the company. We are pre-Series A, well-funded, and scaling fast. You will hire and mentor the next wave of frontend engineers while still spending 70 % of your time coding.
