- • Protect the integrity of Sleeper’s games and user community by monitoring and analyzing suspicious player activity for potential fraud, taking immediate action to mitigate losses when necessary.
- • Review user wallet transactions (deposits and withdrawals) and relevant play activity daily to ensure user accounts and balances are appropriately maintained.
- • Utilize tools, systems, and reports to detect fraud trends, measure and track findings, and communicate insights to management.
- • Stay current with fraud and user behavior trends, identifying new detection and prevention methods to share insights across departments and implement recommendations.
- • Support management and internal teams on ad hoc fraud reviews and requests as needed.
- • Collaborate with other departments to develop and optimize fraud-related processes, policies, and best practices.
- • Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, including KYC and gaming regulations, and monitor activities that may violate terms of service.
- • Partner with Customer Support to develop protocols and training for identity verification, document authentication, deposits/withdrawals, chargebacks, suspicious behavior, and investigations.
- • Work in cross-functional teams to design and manage scalable fraud prevention and risk mitigation systems, as well as back-office processing systems for payment operations and support.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven company creating a digital playground for sports fans to connect over sports.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Fraud, Risk Operations, or a related role.
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- • Knowledge of Daily Fantasy Sports, Gaming, and/or payment processes in the DFS/gaming industry.
- • Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to interpret data and behaviors.
- • Self-starter with investigative curiosity, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- • Ability to work a hybrid remote and in-office schedule that may include weekends.
