- • Execute all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, bug fixes, refactoring, and technical debt reduction for full stack applications
- • Work independently on full stack stories using clean, simple design solutions with a low defect rate across C#/.NET services, React UI, and SQL databases
- • Develop and maintain software using the Microsoft stack: C#/.NET, Entity Framework, MVC, deployed in Azure and AWS cloud environments
- • Build, consume, and integrate REST and SOAP web services to support enterprise payroll and tax processing systems handling over $200 billion annually
- • Perform data modeling tasks aligned with established best practices and standards for relational databases
- • Actively participate in work breakdown by asking clarifying questions, completing detailed work plans, and surfacing potential risks before they impact delivery
- • Lead swarming efforts on complex user stories to accelerate resolution and improve team velocity
- • Assist teammates with code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to team-wide quality improvement initiatives
- • Use AI coding tools (Windsurf, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) fluently as a standard part of daily work for code generation, debugging, test writing, and understanding unfamiliar codebases
- • Review and validate all AI-generated code before committing, setting a visible standard for responsible AI usage on the team
- • Offer informal guidance to associate-level developers on effective and responsible use of AI tooling
- • Contribute to evolving team norms and practices around AI-assisted development as tools and methodologies change
- • Be an active member of an Agile Scrum team: write user stories, groom the backlog, and participate in all sprint ceremonies
- • Collaborate closely with development manager, technical lead, product owner, and scrum master to meet project commitments and deliverables
- • Set accurate time estimates for assigned tasks and adjacent areas of knowledge, and proactively communicate when timelines are at risk
- • Ensure all work is thorough, complete, and of consistently high quality with attention to detail and analytical rigor
- • Learn and integrate platform-specific knowledge including Workday, Salesforce, and OSV’s payment and tax domain as part of ongoing professional development
- • Demonstrate understanding of OSV’s business and customers’ business needs, applying that context to technical decisions
- • Operate with independence as a staff-level individual contributor, setting accurate scope estimates and communicating revised timelines proactively
- • Apply work standards confidently, understand their purpose, and consistently adhere to them in all deliverables
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field
- • 3+ years of experience developing applications using the Microsoft stack (C#/.NET, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, MVC)
- • 2+ years of experience building and consuming SOAP/REST web services
- • 2+ years of experience developing against relational databases with SQL
- • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology
- • Experience working in a CI/CD environment
- • Demonstrated, hands-on daily use of AI coding tools (Windsurf, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) with fluent usage expected
- • Able to write effective prompts for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and test creation
- • Understands the limitations of AI-generated code and applies appropriate review rigor before committing
- • Comfortable discussing AI tool usage and contributing to team standards around it
